I am Nasreen Begum, mother of Junaid Ali. Now my son is 6 years old and going to school. He is in Nursery standard. But when my son was born, at that time his head was very big compared to his body. Doctors used to tell us that we should be very careful with him. I used to carry him on my hands and used to think that when he will be alright. After 7th day of his birth he got admitted in Niloufer Hospital because of Jaundice. There we met Gool madam and she adviced us that we should get him operated (shunting) then only he will be alright and we should be very careful with him.
On 11th day Kranthi came to our house and saw the child and she advices me how to handle the child and took head circumference of the child. Every week Kranthi used to come to our house and used to counsel me to put the child on his stomach on pillow so that his head gains control. She is very nice person and very kindful. She used to counsel me very nicely, how to roll him and how to make him sit. Because of exercises only my child is walking independently and going to school.
Thanks to APAWMR project, because of Gool madam and Kranthi my child is normal and going to school by his own. He was operated by 3 times but 3 times the tube was blocked and when he was operated by the 4th time he was 2 years old. At that time he became very serious and doctors said we are hopeless towards child’s health. Let’s pray to God for him. Gool madam and Kranthi use to come and see my child in the hospital and helped me very much for my child. She used to give medicines and helped me in money for scanning procedures. For 4th time he was operated (shunting and now he is normal.)
Again and again I am thankful to APAWMR project, Gool madam and Kranthi because of them my child is normal now
Thank you,
Nasreen
Since 3 months my son is taking physiotherapy treatment in Niloufer Hospital. Instead of giving it on monthly basics we took on weekly basis. By this treatment my son became active. We took the right treatment at the right time. We are happy because of this. Now my son is 4 years old. We joined him in school.
Thanks for your project. If not, we are so tensed about our son. We are happy that you gave the treatment at the right time.

My daughter Juveriya Khatoon was about 22 months when I first came to Niloufer Hospital, she was unable to walk and unable to stand and sit. But from when we started the physiotherapy exercises. She improved a lot She was able to sit and then stand and she also started to walk individually. We were very happy about her improvement. The improvement came within one year. But then suddenly she fell sick, she was admitted in the hospital then her left hand and left leg was not working..Again she was unable to sit and stand.
Then again we started the exercises from the beginning. Her D.Q also became very low. Then we started the exercises from the beginning, she started to improve, and She was able to sit and started to crawl. She was able to stand by support. Then again she had high fever, this fever affected her brain a lot. She forgets everything. She was enable to sit and stand. Now she has lost her eyesight due to the brain stroke. But because of regular exercises she is improving now. She is leaving to sit a little and learning to stand on knees and crawl.
We got a lot of help from these people. They are very helpful and caring towards the child and towards the parents. They explain every exercise very well .Iam very thankful and greatful towards them. They have rendered a good service to us. This team has served us a lot and helped us a lot.
I am very thankful to Usha madam. She has guided us a lot. On the whole to tell that Iam very satisfied with these people.
I hope that the physiotherapy department will continue to render good service now and even later on.
There is some improvement in my daughter’s health when we brought here for the first time. Later she learned to crawl on the knees. Previously she was not able to move. But now she can stand on her knees to some extent. She is improving with the exercises. So still continuing with the same exercises.
